I look forward to helping you acquire your own piece of Happy Glass. Here's some information that I would tell you if you were visiting with me in my studio. I make all the glass components, most of the silver components and assemble all the jewellery by myself. This is a labour of love for me. You can find a full description of how I make everything on the ABOUT page.
Earrings: I make two sizes of earrings. Each small earring weighs a little less than two dimes (approx. 3.6g) and hangs about 1 1/4 inches from the hole in your ear. Each medium earring weighs a little more than two dimes (approx. 4.2g) and hangs about 1 1/2 inches from the hole in your ear.
Clusters: The chains for the clusters are adjustable. The shorter one is adjustable to 18, 20 or 22 inches. The longer one is adjustable to 24, 26 or 28 inches.
Bracelets: The bracelets are also adjustable. If you wrap a piece of ribbon snuggly around your wrist and it measures between 6 1/4 inches and 7 1/4 inches then you would order and regular length bracelet. If the circumference of your wrist/hand joint is longer than 7 1/2 inches then you would order the longer length bracelet.
Necklaces: From the hook to the end of the chain, the necklaces measures about 19 inches, two inches of which makes the necklace adjustable.
Variations: The components are handmade, so expect some slight variations in colour, shape and size. The way the frit rolls onto the glass is very random. The beads are formed by using gravity to pull the glass into a round shape. I've worked at this for nine years, but hand formed beads are never identical.
I couldn't put everything in the online shop, so if there's something you saw while you were visiting the studio, or a colour you see in the online shop, please send me an email, and I'll do my very best to make you what you'd like.
